Danielle was born 10 March 1985 in Klerksdorp. She attended St Conrad's College, a private catholic school in Klerksdorp, where she matriculated in 2003. She studied marketing for a year then decided to take a gap year during which she au paired. She is now working for Eikos Risk Applications as a consultant's assistant.

Danielle likes sport, especially hockey. She played provincial hockey in school. She also loves going to the game reserve and spending time with friends and family.
