Barbara came to South Africa in 1973. After working for a couple of companies viz. Northern Lime Company and Refrigeration Equipment she ventured into the insurance world. In the mid 70’s she worked at CT Bowring Brokers, the Aetna Insurance Company and Hogg Robinson Brokers.

She then joined the Alexander Forbes Group in 1977 as a claims clerk and then moved to the administration area of TRMS being involved in budgets / variances / invoicing / fund statements. She was promoted to Director in 1985. Barbara transferred to the Claims Management Company in 1998.

In 1999 Barbara was offered the chance to join Eikos in the claims area, a challenge she readily accepted.

Barbara enjoys watching cricket and English football.
